Ques:- A car is travelling at a uniform speed. The driver sees a milestone showing a 2-digit number. After travelling for an hour the driver sees another milestone with the same digits in reverse order. After another hour the driver sees another milestone containing the same two digits. What is the average speed of the driver.
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2022-09-29 15:13:36:

Let 10’splace digit is x and unit’s place digit y

First milestone : 10x+y
Second milestone : 10y+x
Third milestone: 100x+y

Since the speed is uniform so
Distance covered in first Hr = Distance covered in Second Hr
(10y+x)-(10x+y) = (100x+y)-(10y+x)
After solving, we get —-> y=6x but since x and y are digits so only possible combination is x=1 and y=6,
So average speed = 45 KM/HR

Ques:- Two varieties of wheat – A and B costing Rs. 9 per kg and Rs. 15 per kg were mixed in the ratio 3 : 7. If 5 kg of the mixture is sold at 25% profit, find the profit made?
Recent Answer : Added by Mohamed Raja M On 2022-04-02 07:00:53:

answer = 16.5Rs

A=3*9=27Rs
B=7*15=105Rs
132 R for 10 kg
therefore,
1kg amount = 132/10=13.2 so,
5kg mixture price = 13.2*5=66Rs
mixture will sell 25%profit then the price =66*(25/10)=33/2=16.5Rs

Ques:- A man could buy a certain number of notebooks for Rs.300. If each notebook cost is Rs.5 more, he could have bought 10 notebooks less for the same amount. Find the price of each notebook?
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2022-09-29 19:24:04:

According to the question:
⇒(x+5)(y−10)=300
⇒xy+5y−10x−50=xy
⇒5×300−10x−50=0
⇒−150+x2+5x=0
⇒x2+15x−10x−150=0
⇒x(x+15)−10(x+15)=0
⇒x=10 or −15
Price cannot be negative
So, As x>0,x=10.

Ques:- A>B, B>C, C=D, D>E, then which is greatest
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2020-05-17 12:00:05:

Example 1:
Assign, A=20, B=10, C=5, D=5(Because C is equal to D as
given), E=1.
A/B = 20/10 = 2. So A/B = 2
A/C = 20/5 = 4. So A/C = 4
A/E = 20/1 = 20. So A/E = 20
Therefore “A/E is Greatest”
Example 2:
Assign, A=100, B=50, C=20, D=20(Because C is equal to D as
given), E=10.
A/B = 100/50 = 2. So A/B = 2
A/C = 100/20 = 5. So A/C = 5
A/E = 100/10 = 10. So A/E = 10
Therefore “A/E is Greatest”

Ques:- Total expreince ,last jobs & educational qualification.
Ques:- What is the next number in the series 1, 2, 4, 13, 31, 112 ..
Recent Answer : Added by Hamiss On 2022-09-29 16:38:01:

Answer is 274 .

Let the required term be x.

Pattern :- 1) Find the difference between consecutive terms as :

2 – 1 = 1

4 – 2 = 2

13 – 4 = 9

31 – 13 = 18

112 – 31 = 81

2) Now write the above numbers obtained by differences in series as :

1, 2, 9, 18, 81, y

(Suppose y be next term after 81.)

3) Look the difference series carefully and it follows the below pattern as :

(9 * 2)/1 = 18

(18 * 9)/2 = 81

(81 * 18)/9 = 162 = y (the next term after 81)

Thus the required answer is :

x = 112 + y

x = 112 +162 =274
