Gain =selling price-cost price =900-675
=225.
Gain=(225/675)*100.

Ques:- Two pipes function simultaneously the reservoir will be filled in 12 hours. One pipe fills reservoir 10 hours faster than the other. How many hours does the faster pipe take to fill the reservoir?

A -30 hours A’s effeciency (60/30) =2
60( lcm of 30 and 20)
B- 20 hours B’s effeciency (60/20)=3

time taken by both to fill = 60/5 =12 as given in question (effeciencies of both a+b =2+3=5)
time taken by faster pipe i.e b = 60/3 =20

Ques:- If a person walks at 4/5th of his usual spee he reaches 40min late. If he walks athis usual speed how much time does he travels.

Solve the sums using Elimination method.

P=854-117
P=698

volume of a sphere is 4/3 * pi * r^3
by drilling a hole 6 inches long the volume of the sphere is
not affected bcos the hole is a 1 dimension quantity..(say a
straight line) n so it does not have any value w.r.t volume…
hence the volume of the sphere does not change..

Iterative approach:
On adding 1 to matches played and matches won, on every iteration until the win percentage gets to 50. So
19 / 61 = 0.3114754098360656
20 / 62 = 0.3225806451612903
21 / 63 = 0.3333333333333333
22 / 64 = 0.34375




Similarly,
41 / 83 = 0.4939759036144578
42 / 84 = 0.5

So, after 60th match 24 more matches has to be played and won to get 50% average winning rate.
