Ques:- A 5 litre jug contains 4 litres of a salt water solution that is 15 percent salt. If 1.5 litres of the solution spills out of the jug, and the jug is then filled to capacity with water, approximately what percent of the resulting solution in the jug is salt?

5 litre jug contains 4 litres of salt water solution
with 15% of salt, that means it has 4000*.15 = 600 ml salt
in it.
If 1.5 litres solution is spills out, remaining solution
is 2.5 litres, then the salf content is 2500*.15 = 375ml.
Now, the jug is filled to full capacity with water i.e.,
now the jug has 5 litre solution in it.
Now, the salt content is 375/5000 = 7.5%

Let three consecutive even numbers be 2n,2n+2,2n+4
product=2n(2n+2)(2n+4)
If n=1,
product =2(4)(6)=48.
So, all the numbers will be divisible by 48 if change n.

Let ‘x’ be the number of perons in the group and let ‘y’ be
amount per head which they have to pay.
Then xy = 2400.
or y = 2400/x
Since two friends have forget the purse, x-2 persons should
share the total amount(2400).
If they share, they have to make an extra contribution of
Rs 100 to pay up the bill
That is x-2 persons should pay y+100 each
or (x-2)(y+100) = 2400
or y+100 = 2400/(x-2)
or y = 2400/(x-2) – 100
Therefore we have got two equations namely,
y= 2400/x and y = 2400/(x-2) – 100
Comparing these two, we get
2400/x = 2400/(x-2) – 100
Solving this we get
x^2 – 2x -48 = 0
or (x-8) (x+6) = 0
or x = 8 or x = -6
Since ‘x’ denote the number of persons, it should be
positive.
So, x = 8.

Because
385 means (3+5=8) or (8-3=5) ,
462 means (4+2=6) or (6-2=4) ,
572 means (5+2=7) or (7-5=2) ,
396 means (6+3=9) or (9-3=6) ,
671 means (6+1=7) or (7-6=1) ,
264 means (4+2=6) or (6-2=4) ,
but only 427 is the number in which if we do addition of any of its two digits (e.g 4+2 or 4+7) then its answer doesn’t come 3rd digit
like if we do 4+2 then answer will be 6 so the number should be 426 but it is not
or if we do 7-4 then answer will be 3 (not 2)
so the right answer is 427
