Ques:- A company contracts to paint 3 houses. Mr.Brown can paint a house in 6 days while Mr.Black would take 8 days and Mr.Blue 12 days. After 8 days Mr.Brown goes on vacation and Mr. Black begins to work for a period of 6 days. How many days will it take Mr.Blu to paint?
Recent Answer : Added by Emily Tilden On 2022-08-14 16:43:11:
Mr. Brown painted the first whole house in 6 days plus 1/3 of the second house in the next 2 days. Mr. Black can paint a whole house in 8 days and had 8 days to work, so he painted the equivalent of 1 whole house. That accounts for 2-1/3 houses painted. Mr. Blue only needs to paint 2/3 of the last house, so 2/3 times 12 days equals 8 days.

Ques:- Rs.160 contained in a box consists of one rupee, 50 paisa and 25 paisa coins in the ratio 4:5:6. What is the number of 25 paisa coins?
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2022-09-28 18:19:47:
4x:5x:6x
100:50:25
100×4x +50×5x+25×6x
then 400x + 250x + 150x = 16000
800x=16000
x = 20
25 paisa=6x = 20×6=120
so the ans is 120 coins

Ques:- What is the next number in the series 1, 2, 4, 13, 31, 112 ..
Recent Answer : Added by Hamiss On 2022-09-29 16:38:01:
Answer is 274 .
Let the required term be x.
Pattern :- 1) Find the difference between consecutive terms as :
2 – 1 = 1
4 – 2 = 2
13 – 4 = 9
31 – 13 = 18
112 – 31 = 81
2) Now write the above numbers obtained by differences in series as :
1, 2, 9, 18, 81, y
(Suppose y be next term after 81.)
3) Look the difference series carefully and it follows the below pattern as :
(9 * 2)/1 = 18
(18 * 9)/2 = 81
(81 * 18)/9 = 162 = y (the next term after 81)
Thus the required answer is :
x = 112 + y
x = 112 +162 =274
