If there are n bikes then the no. of people are 2n+1. n are dropped in firs trip, in second trip 3 bikes are unused, so 2n-3 + n covers 2n+1 people. i.e. n + 2n – 3 = 2n +1

Joe is fencing in a square area of 576 square feet.
Fence posts, which are needed every three feet, cost 32.00 each.
The fencing cost 4.50 per foot. What is the total cost of the fencing materials?

Solution:-
Area of Square is 576 sq ft.
so, the length of side = root(576) = 24 ft

Since the fencing would be done on the perimeter, we would need that
formula is 4*side = 96 ft.

Number of Fence post needed = 96/3 = 32

1 Fence post cost = 32
32 Fence Post cost = 32 * 32 = 1024

Fencing cost = Perimeter * fencing cost = 96 * 4.5 = 432

Total Cost = 432 + 1024 = 1456

Its 2 times faster than the other train

solving these two,we get
v2/v1=2

let square be x (squares are 4 sides)
i.e., X+X+X+X=4X
4X+3=1460
4X=1460-3
4X=1457

let the speed limit be x.

S1=x+10;
ans S2=x+2*10; and given S2=35.
solving we get x=15mph.

If division of 3 is allowed then I might do 5 divisions in one go & do in less iterations. I would assume max 2 division as you have to hands, and compare the weight.
