Recent Answer : Added by Pankhudi Agarwal On 2020-10-02 05:47:29:

let the 4 digit number be ABCD.
First Digit is A :
Therefore; according to the question
A=B/3
B=3A
C=A+B=A+3A=4A
D=3B=3(3A)=9A
Since the last Digit is D and it can neither be double-digit nor 0 ;
Therefore ;
A=1;
B=3A=3(1)=3
C=A+B=1+3=4
D=9A=9(1)=9
Therefore, the 4 digit number is 1349.

Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2020-05-17 12:03:21:

previous ans wrong again..!!!!
first find x its 2 hours
total journey 6 hrs 3km up and also down
jill takes one hr to come down and jack takes 3 hrs so x
is 2 hours….
And while going up jack goes at 1.5km/hr and jill goes at
0.75 km hr so to travel 3 km they take 2 hrs and 4 hrs
respectively…!!! x again is 2 hrs…
so jack totally takes 5 hrs to travel 6 km
therfore speed is 6/5 km per hour
thats is 1.2 km per hour is the correct answer

Ques:- Five farmers have 7, 9, 11, 13 & 14 apple trees, respectively in their orchards. Last year, each of them discovered that every tree in their own orchard bore exactly the same number of apples. Further, if the third farmer gives one apple to the first, and the fifth gives three to each of the second and the fourth, they would all have exactly the same number of apples. What were the yields per tree in the orchards of the third and fourth farmers?

So we consider the 2nd statement first. We can form an equation out of it.
14x-6=13y+3=9z+3
Using this, we can understand that the multiple of 14 and the multiple of 13 and 9 must have a difference of 9. The easiest way to ensure that is multiplying it by 9
14*9=126
13*9=117
If the 5th farmer gives 3 apples to the 4th farmer, they would have 123 and 120 apples respectively. However, we also know that the 2nd farmer has 117 apples (13*9=117, and this is a multiple of 9) if the 5th farmer gives 3 apples too the 2nd farmer, the 3rd, 4th and 5th farmers would have 120 apples each.
Now that we got 120, we should check if the first part of the question makes sense along with it. The equation would be
7a+1=11b-1=120
We know that 11*11=121 and 7*17=119. When we add 1 to 119 and subtract 1 from 121, we get 120 for each. In this way, all the farmers have 120 apples each.
Therefore, the 3rd farmer had a yield of 11 per tree and the 4th farmer had a yield of 9 per tree.

Ques:- How many such pairs of letters are there in the word STAINLESS each of which has as many letters between them in the word as they have in the English alphabet, in the same sequence?
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2020-05-17 12:03:44:

Dear friends i ofcourse confused like you when i come
across to solve this problem. Really friends its very
simple if you understand the question clearly. First thing
is what is mean by “as many as” means its called ‘idiom and
phrase’ in english and it means “the same number of”. now
read the question “how many pairs of letters in STAINLESS
which has same number of letters between them in the word
as they have in english alphabet”.
In the alphabetical order, A-Z can be numbered as 1-26.
In A(INL)E which is same as in the alphabetical order A
(BCD)E. In both the cases E is in the Fourth position. so
we got one pair.
And in ST, there are no letters between them in the word
stainless. In alphabetical orer from A-Z also there is no
letters between them..so we got the second pair…
In STAINLESS it has two pairs ST and AE
