Ques:- In a certain code, TERMINAL is written as SDQIJOBM. How is CREDIBLE written in that code?
Recent Answer : Added by DK BOSS On 2021-07-15 09:28:18:

( a ) BQDCJCMF
“TERMINAL” split it into the half we get “TERM” “INAL”

Now the first half is decreased by one and the next half is
increased by one, so we get:

“SDQLJOBM” (pls note in the ques we have “SDQIJOBM” where
‘L’ shud have come instead of ‘I’)

so “CREDIBLE” is to “BQDCJCMF”

Ques:- A man purchased 15 pens, 12 books, 10 pencils and 5 erasers. The cost of each pen is Rs.36, each book is Rs.45, each pencil is Rs.8, and the cost of each eraser is Rs.40 less than the combined costs of pen and pencil. Find the total amount spent?
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2022-09-29 18:50:44:

Solution:

As given, we have,

The cost of one pen = 36 Rs.

So, the cost of 15 pens = 36 × 15 = 540 Rs.

The cost of one book = 45 Rs.

So, the cost of 12 books = 45 × 12 = 540 Rs.

The cost of one pencil = 8 Rs.

So, the cost of 10 pencils = 8 × 10 = 80 Rs.

Now,

the cost of each eraser is 40 Rs. less than the combined costs of pen and pencil.

So,

Combined costs of pen and pencil = 36 + 8 = 44 Rs.

Cost of one eraser = 44 – 40 = 4 Rs.

So, the cost of 5 erasers = 4 × 5 = 20 Rs.

Hence,

The total amount spent is

Hence, the total amount spent is 1180 Rs.

Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2022-09-29 18:35:16:

38 years

Let Rajan’s present age be x years. Then, his age at the time of marriage = (x – 8) years.

x = 65(x−8)

⇒5x=6x−48

⇒x=48 years

Rajan’s sister’s age at the time of his marriage = (x – 8) – 10 = (x – 18) = 30 years

∴ Rajan’s sister’s present age = (30 + 8) years = 38 years

A & B one day work= 1/18 + 1/30= 8/90

As we know that number of work is 1

1÷8/90= 1*90/8= 90/8.

Since they say “ twice the amount of work

Then ,2*90/8= 22.5 days

Ques:- A person meets a train at a railway station coming daily at a particular time. One day he is late by 25 minutes, and he meets the train 5 k.m. before the station. If his speed is 12 kmph, what is the speed of the train.
Recent Answer : Added by DK BOSS On 2021-07-30 16:27:20:

Ans: 60 kph

Suppose Person meets the train everyday at 3 PM at Station A.

His speed is 12kph.

So normally he reaches 5 km before the meeting point (pt B) at (5/12 hr = 25 min before) 2:35PM.

But if he is late by 30 min, then he will reach that point (pt B) by 3:05 PM.

Train is traveling at its normal speed so it covers the distance of 5 Km in 5 min starting from Station A and reaches the meeting point (pt B) at 3:05 PM.

So speed of the train is 5KM/5min = 60 kph.

Ques:- A train 100 meters long passes a platform 100 meters long in seconds. The speed of the train is
A. 36 km/hr
B. 52 km/hr
C. 72 km/hr
D. 92 km/hr
Recent Answer : Added by ThinkAlike On 2022-03-09 16:31:07:

= 100 + 100 = 200 m

Time taken by train = 10 sec.

∵ Speed = Distance/Time

⇒ Speed of train = 200/10 = 20 m/sec.

∴ Speed of train = 20 × 18/5 = 72 kmph.
