Ques:- January 1, 1995 was a Sunday. What day of the week lies on January 1, 1996?
A. Saturday
B. Sunday
C. Monday
D. Tuesday
Recent Answer : Added by Yashwanth On 2022-05-17 08:56:42:

C. Monday
A year has 52 weeks and every week has 7 days.
We just add up one day to the present day of the year and that would automatically act as the day of the next year.
In case of leap years in between, one extra day gets added in the entire year making it 366 days instead of 365 days in an ordinary year and we add two days in that case.

Ques:- Out of 10 persons working on a project, 4 are graduates. If 3 are selected, what is the probability that there is at least one graduate among them?
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2022-09-28 18:37:01:

Out of 10 persons, 4 are graduates; so, (10 – 4) = 6 are under-graduates.

If there is no restriction, any three can be chosen from the ten in (10C3) = 120 ways.

Now, if all three chosen are under-graduates; it can take place in (6C3) = 20 ways.

Therefore, the probability that there will be no graduate among the three chosen = (20 / 120) = (1 / 6).

Therefore, the probability that there will be at least one graduate among the three chosen = {1 – (1 / 6)} = (5 / 6) = 0.8333.

Ques:- What is the next number in the series 1, 2, 4, 13, 31, 112 ..
Recent Answer : Added by Hamiss On 2022-09-29 16:38:01:

Answer is 274 .

Let the required term be x.

Pattern :- 1) Find the difference between consecutive terms as :

2 – 1 = 1

4 – 2 = 2

13 – 4 = 9

31 – 13 = 18

112 – 31 = 81

2) Now write the above numbers obtained by differences in series as :

1, 2, 9, 18, 81, y

(Suppose y be next term after 81.)

3) Look the difference series carefully and it follows the below pattern as :

(9 * 2)/1 = 18

(18 * 9)/2 = 81

(81 * 18)/9 = 162 = y (the next term after 81)

Thus the required answer is :

x = 112 + y

x = 112 +162 =274

Ques:- In a certain code, TERMINAL is written as SDQIJOBM. How is CREDIBLE written in that code?
Recent Answer : Added by DK BOSS On 2021-07-15 09:28:18:

( a ) BQDCJCMF
“TERMINAL” split it into the half we get “TERM” “INAL”

Now the first half is decreased by one and the next half is
increased by one, so we get:

“SDQLJOBM” (pls note in the ques we have “SDQIJOBM” where
‘L’ shud have come instead of ‘I’)

so “CREDIBLE” is to “BQDCJCMF”
