Ques:- When x is real what is the least value of (x**2-6*x+5)/(x**2+2*x+1)
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2020-05-17 12:01:23:

(x**2 – 6* x + 5) = (x-1)*(x-5)
(x**2 + 2 * x + 1) = (x + 1) * (x+1) = (x+1)**2
For what x is (x-1)*(x-5)/( (x+1)**2) a minimum?
One way to answer this question is by using calculus.
Take the derivative, and set to zero.
Since this is a fraction of polynomials, and a fraction is
zero only if it’s numerator is zero, we need calculate only
the numerator of the derivative and set it to zero.
The numerator of the
Derivative of (x-1)*(x-5)/( (x+1)**2) is
( (x-1) + (x-5) ) ( x+1)**2 – (x-1)(x-5)( 2 (x+1) )
= (2 x – 6) (x+1)**2 – (2) (x-1)(x-5) (x+1)
= 0
Divide through by 2 (x+1)
(x-3)(x+1) – (x-1)(x-5) = 0
(x**2 – 2 x – 3 ) – (x**2 – 6 x + 5) = 0
x**2 – x**2 – 2 x + 6 x – 3 – 5 = 0
4 x – 8 = 0
x = 2
Plugging in x = 2 into the original
(x**2-6*x+5)/(x**2+2*x+1)
gives us (2**2 – 6 * 2 + 5)/(2**2 + 2*2 + 1)
= (4 – 12 + 5) / (4 + 4 + 1) = -3/9 = -1/3
Least value is -1/3

Ques:- Imagine you are standing in front of a mirror, facing it. Raise your left hand. Raise your right hand. Look at your reflection. When you raise your left hand your reflection raises what appears to be his right hand. But when you tilt your head up, your reflection does too, and does not appear to tilt his/her head down. Why is it that the mirror appears to reverse left and right, but not up and down?
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2020-05-17 12:01:39:

The definition of left and right depends on the observer and
is reversed when facing the opposite direction. The
definition of up and down does not depend on the orientation
of the observer.

Ques:- A circular path of 13 m radius has marginal walk 2 m wide all round it. Find the cost of leveling the walk at 25p per m2?
Ques:- In how much time will a train of length 100 m, moving at 36 kmph cross an electric pole?
Recent Answer : Added by JAQ On 2021-06-21 17:40:13:

speed = 36*(5/18) m/s=10m/s
distance = 100m
time=100/10s = 10sec

Ques:- A circle and a rectangle have the same perimeter. The sidesof the rectangle are 18 cm and 26 cm. What will be the areaof the circle?
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2020-05-17 12:03:54:

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
given l abd b as 18 cm and 26 cm
therefore perimeter of rectangle = 2(44)
perimeter of circle = 2*pi*r
given 2*pi*r=2(l+B)
i.e, 2*(22/7)*r= 2(44)
(22/7)*r=44
r=14 cms
area of the circle = pi*r*r
=(22/7)*14*14
=616 sqcm is the answer

Ques:- During a given week A programer spends 1/4 of his time preparing flow chart, 3/8 of his time coding and the rest of the time in debugging the programs. If he works 48 hours during the week , how many hours did he spend debugging the program.
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2020-05-17 12:01:34:

Here is the ans with explanation…..
Just divide 48 hours into 8 parts…
for flowchart its 1/4 so it is 2/8 = 12hours
For Coding it is 3/8 = 18 hours
the rest is again 3/8 = 18 hours for debugging..
