Ques:- There are two water tanks X andY , X is much smaller than Y. While water fills at the rate of 1 liter every hour in X, it gets filled up like, 10, 20, 40, 80, 160 in tank Y. (At the end of first hour, Y has 10 liters, second hour it has 20 liters and so on). If tank Y is 1/32 filled of the 21 hours, what is total duration of hours required to fill it completely?
Recent Answer : Added by Grace On 2020-11-25 15:02:28:

1/32(x)L=21h
10L=1h
X=21x10x32
=6720 Liters
Thus:
6720L=Yh
10L=1h
Yh=6720/10
Y=672h

Ques:- Perimeter of the back wheel = 9 feet, front wheel = 7 feet on a certain distance, the front wheel gets 10 revolutions more than the back wheel .What is the distance?
Recent Answer : Added by VSEC_me On 2022-08-14 16:34:00:

Let the total rotations be x:
So the distance covered by both the wheels will be same,
9 * x = 7 * (x + 10)
x = 35 rotations
distance travelled = 9 * 35 = 7 * (35 + 10) = 315 feet

Let the no. of men (originally) be x.
x no. of men require 10 days.

if however there were 10 men less it will take 10 days more for the work to be finished. ——> means x-10 men require 10+10=20 days.

10x = 20 (x-10)
x = 2x -20 => x = 20.
