Ques:- X, Y and Z can do a piece of work in 24, 30 and 40 days respectively. They start the work together but Z leaves 4 days before the completion of the work. In how many days is the work done?
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2022-09-29 17:23:19:

One day’s work of A, B and C = (1/24 + 1/30 + 1/40) = 1/10.

C leaves 4 days before completion of the work, which means only A and B work during the last 4 days.

Work done by A and B together in the last 4 days = 4 (1/24 + 1/30) = 3/10.

Remaining Work = 7/10, which was done by A,B and C in the initial number of days.

Number of days required for this initial work = 7 days.

Thus, the total numbers of days required = 4 + 7 = 11 days.

Ques:- The largest natural number by which the product of three consecutive even natural numbers is always divisible by
A. 16
B. 24
C. 48
D. 96
Recent Answer : Added by Shashank Panddey On 2022-09-15 16:36:27:

Let three consecutive even numbers be 2n,2n+2,2n+4
product=2n(2n+2)(2n+4)
If n=1,
product =2(4)(6)=48.
So, all the numbers will be divisible by 48 if change n.

Recent Answer : Added by DK BOSS On 2021-07-17 06:27:50:

Maximum number of edges = 9. Start from one corner. Select any face including that corner. Complete a square (4 edges) around the face to reach at the starting corner point . Now, move to the opposite face through the edge joining them and passing through the starting point(1 edge). Now, complete the square of edges around this face(4 edges). Total = 4+1+4 = 9 edges

Ques:- The average temperature was 37C for Monday to Wednesday and 34C for Tuesday to Thursday . If the temperature on Thursday was 4/5 th of that of Monday,what was the temperature on Thursday?
Recent Answer : Added by Jade On 2022-09-22 16:41:17:

First write equations from info:
(A) (Mon + Tue + Wed)/3 = 111 Rearrange as ——–> Tue + Wed = 111 – Mon
(B) (Tue + Wed + Thu)/3 =102 Rearrange as ——–> Tue + Wed = 102 – Thu
(C) Thu = 0.8(Mon)

Substitute equation C into B:
(B) Tue + Wed = 102 – 0.8(Mon)

At this point I changed the values for clearer algebra:
Mon = x
Tue + Wed = y

Re-write equations A & B with new values:
(A) y = 111 – x
(B) y = 102 – 0.8x

Solve simultaneous equations:

111 – x = 102 – 0.8x
111 – 102 = x – 0.8x (Re-arraged)
9 = 0.2x
x = 45

Thus, Mon = 45C

Thu = 0.8(45)
Thu = 36C

So the answer is it was 36C on Thursday
