Ques:- Raj has a jewel chest containing Rings, Pins and Ear-rings. The chest contains 26 pieces. Raj has 2 and 1/2 times as many rings as pins, and the number of pairs of earrings is 4 less than the number of rings. How many earrings does Raj have?…
Recent Answer : Added by King11 On 2022-03-18 09:20:21:

6 pairs of earrings. So 12 earrings.

The total has to be 26, so let’s say there’s 6 pairs of earrings and the number of pairs has to be 4 less than the number of rings. So that would make 10 rings. The 10 rings has to be 2 1/2 greater than the number of pins. So you would divide 10/2.5 = 4 Pins. That would equate to a total of 12 earrings, 10 rings, and 4 pins. A total of 26 pieces.

Ques:- Two trains of equal length when moving in opposite direction takes 5 sec. to cross each other completely and when moving in same direction takes 15 sec. Find the ratio of their speed.
Recent Answer : Added by Deven Sharma On 2023-05-31 18:18:48:

Let’s assume the length of each train is ‘L’ and the speeds of the two trains are ‘V₁’ and ‘V₂’ respectively.

When the trains are moving in the opposite direction, their relative speed is the sum of their individual speeds. The total distance they need to cover is the sum of their lengths. Since they cross each other completely in 5 seconds, we can set up the following equation:

(V₁ + V₂) × 5 = 2L

When the trains are moving in the same direction, their relative speed is the difference between their individual speeds. The total distance they need to cover is the difference between their lengths. Since they cross each other completely in 15 seconds, we can set up the following equation:

(V₁ – V₂) × 15 = 2L

Now, let’s solve these equations to find the ratio of their speeds.

From the first equation, we have:
(V₁ + V₂) × 5 = 2L
V₁ + V₂ = (2L) / 5

From the second equation, we have:
(V₁ – V₂) × 15 = 2L
V₁ – V₂ = (2L) / 15

Let’s add these two equations together:
V₁ + V₂ + V₁ – V₂ = (2L) / 5 + (2L) / 15
2V₁ = (6L + 2L) / 15
2V₁ = (8L) / 15
V₁ = (4L) / 15

So, the speed of the first train is (4L) / 15.

Now, let’s substitute this value back into the first equation to find V₂:
(4L) / 15 + V₂ = (2L) / 5
V₂ = (2L) / 5 – (4L) / 15
V₂ = (6L – 4L) / 15
V₂ = (2L) / 15

Therefore, the speed of the second train is (2L) / 15.

The ratio of their speeds is given by:
(V₁ / V₂) = ((4L) / 15) / ((2L) / 15)
(V₁ / V₂) = 4L / 2L
(V₁ / V₂) = 2

So, the ratio of their speeds is 2:1.

Ques:- What responsibilities you are handling in current job?
Ques:- Current General Knowledge
Ques:- When 2 is added to half of one-third of one-fifth of a number, the result is one-fifteenth of the number. Find the number?
Ques:- Why Govt. Have Need of WCT.

Ques:- A starts from a place at 11.00 am and travels at a speed of 4 kmph , B starts at 1.00 pm and travels with speeds of 1 kmph for 1 hr , 2 kmph for the next hr , 3 kmph for the next hr and so on. At wht time will B catch up with A ?
Recent Answer : Added by DK BOSS On 2021-07-17 06:18:40:

the answer is At 9:48 PM
At 1:00 pm the difference between A & B = 8 km
after 2:00 pm ………………. = 11 km (as B’s speed
is 1 and A’s 4 km, then eqv speed=(4-1)=3 km)
After 3:00………………….. = 13 km (as B’s speed 2 km)
After 4:00………………….. = 14 km
after 5:00………………….. = 14 km (A’s speed= B’s
speed)
after 6:00………………….. = 13 km
after 7:00………………….. = 11 km
after 8:00………………….. = 8 km
after 9:00………………….. = 4 km
and now the eqv speed is= (9-4) =5 km/hr;
and the renaming distance is 4 km;
then, time=(60*4)/5=48 min;
then the meeting time is=9:00+48 min=9:48 pm;

Ques:- A and B combinely can do a work in 4 days. If A alone can do a piece of work 6 days. In how many days B alone can do?
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2020-05-17 12:03:23:

say the work is w and let no of days taken by b is ‘x’ which
we have to calculate
so work done by a in one day is w/6
work done by b in one day is w/x
a and b together can do work in 4 days ie=(w/6)+(w/x)=(w/4)
solving equation x=12
so no of days taken by b=12
