Ques:- Imagine you are standing in front of a mirror, facing it. Raise your left hand. Raise your right hand. Look at your reflection. When you raise your left hand your reflection raises what appears to be his right hand. But when you tilt your head up, your reflection does too, and does not appear to tilt his/her head down. Why is it that the mirror appears to reverse left and right, but not up and down?
Recent Answer : Added by Admin On 2020-05-17 12:01:39:

The definition of left and right depends on the observer and
is reversed when facing the opposite direction. The
definition of up and down does not depend on the orientation
of the observer.

Ques:- The price of sugar increases by 20%, by what % should a housewife reduce the consumption of sugar so that expenditure on sugar can be same as before ?(a) 15%(b) 16.66%(c) 12%(d) 9%
Recent Answer : Added by Rk On 2021-08-25 14:15:42:

(b) 16.66%

Earlier for ₹x we could purchase y gm of sugar.
Now we pay ₹1.2x for y gm of sugar

(As there was an increase in price so, x + 20%x = 1.2x)

At current rates for ₹x you can purchase y/1.2 gm of sugar

So the reduced consumption is y-(y/1.2)

Percentage change = (reduced consumption/ original consumption ) *100

That is (0.2/1.2) *100 = 16.66% (approx)

Ques:- How many degrees there between the two hands of a clock at 3:15?
Recent Answer : Added by J. Cody Stockwell On 2022-08-14 16:36:03:

The hour hand advances between individual numbers as the minute hand makes a full path around the hour. The hour hand was pointing directly at 3 at 3:00, but at 3:15 it has advanced 1/4 of the way between 3 and 4. The number of degrees between numbers 30 (because 360/12). That gives you 30/4 = 7.5. The number of degrees between the two hands is 7.5 degrees.
